Human Mobile Devices (HMD) has announced new service initiatives for the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj. These initiatives are designed to enhance the experience of pilgrims by providing advanced technology and customer support services.
Through these efforts, HMD aims to offer valuable assistance during the spiritual journey, demonstrating a commitment to integrating technology with cultural experiences.
Key Features of HMD’s Initiatives at Maha Kumbh Mela:
- Comprehensive Mobile Care Services: HMD has set up the HMD Care Camp, offering mobile diagnostics and repairs for HMD smartphones, feature phones, and Nokia feature phones. Customers whose feature phones are under a one-year replacement guarantee will receive a replacement unit. The company is also running a Loaner Phone Program, providing temporary devices while repairs are ongoing.
- Local Travel Information Feature: In partnership with Radioline, HMD offers a real-time local travel information service. This feature includes essential details for pilgrims, such as key event dates, travel guides, and important updates related to the Maha Kumbh Mela.
- Tourism Partnership: HMD supports the ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ campaign in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Uttar Pradesh government. This initiative promotes domestic tourism and encourages visitors to explore India through both digital and on-ground activities at the Maha Kumbh Mela.
- Regional Integration with Uttar Pradesh Tourism: HMD has partnered with the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department to establish several branded touchpoints across Prayagraj. These touchpoints are located in retail stores and other key locations throughout the Mela grounds, providing additional support for attendees.
In addition to these services, HMD has launched a 360-degree campaign across Out-Of-Home (OOH), social media, and digital platforms. This campaign extends HMD’s Khoob Chalega initiative, promoting the HMD 105 and HMD 110 models.
HMD’s Commitment
The campaign highlights the focus on providing longer battery life, larger screens, and secure UPI applications, enabling pilgrims to conduct financial transactions safely, even without a smartphone.
The company emphasizes that these initiatives align with HMD’s broader mission of offering technology solutions that meet real human needs while enhancing both cultural and spiritual experiences.
Commenting on the new initiative, Ravi Kunwar, CEO & VP, India & APAC, HMD, stated:
The Maha Kumbh Mela offers a unique spiritual experience, and at HMD, we are committed to enriching this journey through our robust regional presence and innovative feature phone solutions.
