vivo V50 expected to launch in India in February

vivo launched the V40 smartphone in India back in August last year. Now the company is gearing up to launch the V50 smartphone, according to tipster Abhishek Yadav. He adds that the company will not launch the vivo V50 Pro model this time.

The phone is expected to retain the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, which is expected since the vivo S20 model in China uses the same chip. To remind you, the vivo V30 which was launched in early 2024 also used the same chip.

The phone is said to come in 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB models, same as the V40, and come in Blue, Rose, Red, and Grey colours.

It could adopt a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate like the vivo S20. It is expected to get 50MP sensors for the front and rear with ZEISS Optics, but there are no details if this will get a telephoto lens since there is no Pro model.

The vivo S20 packs a huge, 6500mAh battery, but it is not clear the V50 will get the same battery or limit the battery to 6000mAh since it is Carbon-Silicon type. We can also expect IP68 ratings for the phone.

The vivo V50 smartphone is expected to launch in India sometime in February, which is next month.

Update: According to tipster Yogesh brar, the V50 will feature a Quad-curved display, come in Rose Red color inspired by Indian Weddings and will be the slimmest phone in the segment with a 6,000mAh battery.
