Optiemus Electronics partners with TP-Link to boost ‘Make in India’ initiative

Optiemus Electronics Ltd. (OEL), based in Noida, has forged a strategic partnership with TP-Link, a globally recognized company with U.S. operations.

This collaboration aligns with the Indian government’s ‘Make in India’ campaign, aiming to position India as a significant hub for electronics and telecom manufacturing.

Product Range and Manufacturing Details

Under this strategic agreement, OEL will manufacture a diverse array of telecom and IoT devices, including:

  • GPON (ONT)
  • Security Cameras
  • Home Wi-Fi Routers
  • Enterprise Routers
  • Modems
  • SOHO Switches
  • Other Network Expansion Devices

These products will be crafted at OEL’s sophisticated manufacturing facility in Noida, which boasts an annual production capacity of six million units.

Manufacturing is scheduled to start in February 2025, with the first batch expected to hit the market by March 2025. This partnership is set to enhance export capabilities, focusing on penetrating international markets.

Vision and Impact on Local Supply Chain

OEL’s two state-of-the-art units in Noida are key to elevating India’s standing in the global electronics manufacturing landscape. TP-Link, with its presence in over 170 countries, underscores its commitment to the ‘Make in India’ vision through this collaboration.

The partnership will foster a robust local supply chain for components like power adapters and mechanical parts, significantly reducing reliance on imports.
