Samsung Galaxy S25 Unboxing and First Impressions


Samsung introduced the Galaxy S25 series smartphones last month. We already brought you the first impressions of the S25 Ultra, and here we have the first impressions of the Galaxy S25 smartphone.

The Galaxy S25 retain the 6.2-inch FHD+ Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPO Display with 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, up to 2600 nits peak brightness, and has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

Powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy with 12GB of RAM, the phone runs Android 15 with One UI 7 on the top bringing multimodal AI agents that can interpret text, speech, images, and videos.

It still has a 12MP front camera. You can see the sleek bezels below the screen. There are upgrades to Google’s Circle to Search, new Now Brief & Now Bar that proactively offer suggestions based on analyzed data, accessible on the lock screen. All the Galaxy S25 series devices come with 6 months of Gemini Advanced and 2TB of cloud storage at no extra cost.

The phone incorporates recycled armor aluminum frame. The power button and the volume rockers are on the right side. The speaker grill, USB Type-C port, primary microphone and the SIM card slot are on the bottom. The microphone is on the top.

Even though the phone has a 6.2-inch screen, it is compact to hold and has software edges, making it more comfortable. It is now 7.2mm thick, making it 0.4mm sleeker and weighs just 162 grams, making it 5 grams lighter than the predecessor.

The phone has a glass back with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, but the silver color that we have attracts smudges, so it is recommended to get a case.

The phone retains with the 50MP main camera with OIS, 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP Telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom from the Galaxy S24.

The phone features advanced image processing with ProScaler, Virtual Aperture for depth-of-field control, Galaxy Log for color grading, enhancements to Portrait Studio and Filters and improved low-light video performance.

For the battery, the S25 comes with a 4000mAh cell with 25W fast charging, which is unchanged from its predecessor. It continues to support wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.

Pricing and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy S25 is rolling out from today, starting at a price of Rs. 80,999 for the 12GB + 256GB version, but with launch offer, there is Rs. 11,000 upgrade bonus or Rs. 7000 cashback with a 9 month no-cost EMI. Stay tuned for the detailed review of the Galaxy S25 soon.
