OnePlus has announced the fifth annual OnePlus Photography Awards (OPA). The competition, running from February 7 to June 30, 2025, invites mobile photography enthusiasts worldwide to submit their work under the theme “Make the Moment.” This year’s theme is inspired by the first moon landing photograph captured by Hasselblad.
The 2025 OPA focuses on celebrating the art of mobile photography and advancements in mobile camera technology. Participants can submit entries across three categories: Movement, Night and Low Light, and Faces.
The “Movement” category encourages capturing the essence of motion, while “Night and Low Light” focuses on images taken in low-light conditions. The “Faces” category invites portraits that convey emotion and tell stories.
The 2025 OPA is open to all smartphone users and features two groups: the OnePlus Group for OnePlus users, and the Public Group for all other smartphone users. A judging panel, including OnePlus founder Pete Lau, Hasselblad ambassadors, and photographers, will evaluate submissions.
Winners will be announced on August 19, 2025. The top winner will receive $10,000, and all winners will be awarded the OnePlus 13 smartphone and potential collaboration opportunities with OnePlus. Winning entries will be featured on platforms like OnePlus and 500px.
OnePlus continues its partnership with Hasselblad for the OnePlus 13, which features upgrades in mobile photography. Its triple-camera system and features like the Dual Exposure Algorithm, Night Mode, and Portrait Mode are designed to support the competition’s categories.
