Vi now offers Baggage Protection with all Postpaid International Roaming packs


Vi has announced an upgrade to its International Roaming service by including baggage protection. This new feature is available to Vi Postpaid customers who purchase international roaming packs. This was introduced last year for international roaming packs above Rs. 3,999.

The service, offered in partnership with Blue Ribbon Bags, a US-based baggage concierge service, provides compensation for lost or delayed luggage. If a customer’s baggage is delayed or lost for more than 96 hours after filing a complaint, Vi will provide compensation of ₹19,800 per bag.

Vi Postpaid customers can opt for the baggage protection service for an additional Rs. 99 when purchasing an International Roaming pack. Activation requires registration with Blue Ribbon Bags before the flight. In the event of lost or delayed baggage, customers need to file reports with both the airline and Blue Ribbon Bags within 24 hours of arrival.

Blue Ribbon Bags will then use its network and technology to track and expedite the luggage’s return. If the baggage is not returned within four days, the company will provide the Rs. 19,800 compensation per bag (up to two bags), without requiring further proof of loss.

Vi emphasizes that this initiative reflects its focus on customer-centric innovations. The company’s International Roaming plans already offer benefits such as unlimited data and calls in 29 countries, unlimited incoming calls in over 122 countries, and 24/7 live agent support via WhatsApp.

The addition of baggage protection further aims to provide a comprehensive and worry-free international travel experience for its customers.
