Sennheiser has introduced the HD 505, a new addition to its headphone line-up, targeting both music enthusiasts and gamers. The company describes the HD 505 headphones as offering analytical sound tuning, precise detail, and long-term comfort, ideal for immersive audio.
These headphones are manufactured at Sennheiser’s audiophile factory in Tullamore, Ireland. They feature a custom 120-ohm transducer in an open earcup design, providing a frequency response from 12 to 38,500 Hz with minimal distortion.
The balanced sound profile includes punchy bass, clear mids, and non-fatiguing treble, enhanced by angled transducers that mimic nearfield loudspeakers, creating an expansive soundstage for a more engaging listening experience.
Built on the lightweight and ergonomic chassis of the HD 500 series, the HD 505 weighs just 237 grams, promoting comfort during extended use. It features a synthetic leather headband and a durable metal mesh ear cup cover. The headphones come with a detachable 1.8-meter cable, equipped with a 3.5mm plug and a 6.3mm adapter for compatibility with various devices.
Like other models in the HD 500 series, the HD 505 supports customization with interchangeable cables and ear pads, allowing users to upgrade or add features such as an in-line microphone.
