iPhone 17 Air with ultra-thin design surfaces in new renders

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air is set to replace the “Plus” model in the iPhone 17 series, generating significant speculation about its design and features.

A recent video by Front Page Tech, hosted by Jon Prosser, explores the alleged design, rumors, and leaks surrounding this highly anticipated device. The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be one of the thinnest iPhones, measuring just 5.5mm to 6mm in thickness.

It’s expected to feature a sleek, minimalist design, including a new rear camera bar with a single 48MP camera, microphone, and LED flash. While the design resembles Google’s Pixel phones, Apple is likely to add its own unique elements.

On the front, the iPhone 17 Air will retain Apple’s Dynamic Island, but in a slimmer form. Prosser humorously speculates about the potential return to single-lens cameras, suggesting that advancements in sensor technology and computational photography could make multiple lenses unnecessary.

The device is expected to be powered by the A19 chip, a step below the Pro models. While rumors have mentioned a $1,300 price tag, Prosser believes it will be more affordable, positioning the iPhone 17 Air as a mid-range option rather than a premium one.

Launch Date?

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 17 series in September 2025, with more design-related rumors likely to emerge ahead of the official reveal.
