OnePlus just introduced the OnePlus Watch 3, the company’s latest smartwatch globally, as it had promised. This gets a bigger 1.5-inch AMOLED LTPO screen with smaller bezels, and has up to 2,200 nits peak brightness, making it 120% brighter than the predecessor. There is a new video watch face option where you can upload your own clips.
Design and Build
It gets a new rotating crown that lets you scroll through screens. The Emerald Titanium watch features a silver titanium bezel and a stainless steel body, as well as a green fluororubber strap with a stainless steel buckle. The Emerald Titanium finish, inspired by nature, exhibits the ideal balance of dynamic athleticism, signifying development and energy, according to OnePlus.
The Obsidian Titanium model features a black titanium bezel and a similar stainless steel body, as well as a black fluororubber strap with a stainless steel buckle. The OnePlus Watch 3 has Military-grade durability, has 5ATM + IP68 water and dust resistance and over 100 sports mode.
Health features
There is a new temperature sensor for wrist temperature measurement, an eight-channel optical heart rate sensor, and a 16-channel blood oxygen sensor. There is also a revamped GPS with a ‘circular polarized antenna,’ for improveed GPS maps in areas with tall buildings. It also has an EKG option which will arrive in Europe in Q2, 2025, but it hasn’t gone through FDA approval so it is not available in the US and Canada.
The OnePlus 60S Health Check-in lets you touch the side button and get a quick scan of your heart rate, blood oxygen levels, mental wellness, wrist temperature, sleep quality, and vascular age. The vascular health test measures arterial stiffness. The improved sleep tracking feature lets you track snoring patterns to assess breathing disruptions.
It packs a 631mAh battery and promises up to 120 hours of battery life in Smart mode, and in power saver mode it promises up to 16 days of battery life. The Watch 3 has VOOC fast charging that offers all-day power in just 10 minutes of charge, says the company.
