Google inaugurates Ananta its largest campus in Bengaluru

Google India today inaugurated Ananta, one of its largest offices worldwide, in Bengaluru. This new campus is a major step in Google’s continued commitment to India.

Ananta: Google India’s New Campus in Bengaluru

Located in Bengaluru, a fast-growing global tech hub, Ananta is a newly built facility designed in collaboration with local architects and designers. The name “Ananta” comes from Sanskrit, meaning “infinite” or “limitless,” reflecting Google’s vision of using technology to create endless possibilities.

Features of Ananta

1) A Workplace Designed for Collaboration

Ananta is built to enhance connectivity and innovation. Its architectural design maximizes natural light, offers open views, and creates a structured layout for better teamwork.

Each floor follows a city grid pattern with interconnected pathways for easy navigation. Dedicated ‘neighborhoods’ provide spaces for collaboration while also ensuring privacy in smaller booths and quiet zones. At the center of the building is a large communal space named Sabha, designed for discussions and community interactions.

2) Accessibility and Employee Well-being

Accessibility is integrated into every aspect of Ananta, including tactile flooring to assist visually impaired individuals. Additional features include accessible amenities and braille-supported details.

Inspired by Bengaluru’s identity as the ‘Garden City,’ the campus includes green landscapes, walking trails, and jogging paths, offering spaces for relaxation and informal meetings.

3) Sustainability and Local Sourcing

Ananta incorporates environmentally responsible features to minimize its ecological footprint. The campus recycles all its wastewater, collects significant amounts of rainwater, and houses one of India’s largest smart glass installations to reduce energy usage.

The interiors are built using locally sourced materials, ensuring sustainability and support for local industries.
