OPPO just announced the Find N5, the company’s latest foldable smartphone in the Find N series for the global markets and in China, as it had promised.

The phone has an 8.12″ foldable 2K OLED screen with 1-120Hz LTPO panel, up to 2,100 nits peak brightness, Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG), 10% narrower and 30% shallower crease and the external 6.62-inch FHD+ OLED external screen also has 1-120Hz LTPO panel, offers up to 2450 nits peak brightness and uses ceramic guard.  Both the screens support 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, up from 1440Hz in the predecessor, and support a stylus.

When unfolded, the thickness of the body is just 4.21mm, and when folded the thickness is 8.93mm. The glass version weighs 229g and the leather version weighs 239g. It also has an alert slider.

The Find N5 uses titanium flexion hinge, which uses aerospace-grade 5 titanium alloy 3D printing technology. The thinnest part of the hinge is just 0.15mm, which is equivalent to the diameter of a hair. The overall hinge is slimmer by 26%, while the rigidity is increased by 36%, compared to the predecessor. The hinge has TÜV Rheinland Reliable Folding Certification and has been tested for 100,000 times, says the company.

The phone runs Android 15 with ColorOS 15, and the company promises 5 years of security updates for the phone. The optimized ColorOS has enhanced multitasking, AI call summary, and will get AI search that will search through your documents. The company is also introducing O+ Connect for Mac that lets you view images on the phone from Mac and also access files on the phone remotely from anywhere, says the company.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, but the 7-Core version, has 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage, for the global market.  It packs a 5600mAh silicon-carbon battery with 80W fast charging. The phone also has 50W wireless fast charging, which the Find N3 lacked.
