Update: Samsung has confirmed the launch of Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy M06 5G smartphones in India on February 27th at 12 noon.
Earlier: Samsung has started teasing the launch of Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy M06 5G smartphones in India. This comes after the launch of Galaxy A16 5G and Galaxy A06 5G.
The Samsung Galaxy M06 5G with the model number SM-M166P/DS recently showed on Samsung India support page and also surfaced in Geekbench listing last month.
This reveals MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, 8GB of RAM and Android 14 with One UI 6. This is similar to the specifications of the Galaxy A16, which was launched back in October. Even though the position of the flash in the teaser is similar, the camera deco is different.
The Galaxy M06 should be similar to the F06 with MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM, and run Android 15 with One UI 7 on top. The phones are expected to come with 4 generation of OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates.
Samsung Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy M06 5G will be sold on Amazon.in, in addition to Samsung India online store and offline stores.
