After the announcement last year, Airtel and Apple have announced a strategic partnership to integrate Apple TV+ and Apple Music into Airtel’s service offerings. This collaboration aims to expand the entertainment options available to Airtel customers.
Under the terms of the partnership, Airtel Home Wi-Fi customers subscribing to plans starting at Rs. 999 will gain access to the Apple TV+ streaming service. This allows for multi-device streaming while connected to the home network and on mobile devices.
Furthermore, Airtel postpaid customers on plans of Rs. 999 and above will receive access to Apple TV+ and a six-month complimentary subscription to Apple Music. Apple Music provides a range of Indian and international music content.
The integration of Apple TV+ provides Airtel customers with access to Apple’s original programming, including drama, comedy, feature films, documentaries, and children’s content.
The Apple Music component of the partnership provides access to a music library spanning multiple languages, including English and Hindi. Features of Apple Music include curated playlists, artist interviews, Apple Music Radio, Apple Music Sing, time-synced lyrics, lossless audio, and Spatial Audio.
This partnership adds to Airtel’s existing collaborations with streaming platforms such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, ZEE5, and Jio Hotstar. The company states that the integration of Apple TV+ and Apple Music further enhances its entertainment offerings for Airtel Wi-Fi customers.
