The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip 7 series and expected in a few months. Ahead of the launch, popular tipster @OnLeaks posted the first set of CAD-based renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung’s next foldable phone.
This shows a familiar flat frame and the phone is said to measure 158.4 x 143.1 x 4.5mm (unfolded), making it taller and wider compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, but it is said to be 1.1mm thinner giving a tough competition to the OPPO Find N5 which is just 4.21mm thin when unfolded and the HONOR Magic V3 is 4.4mm.
When folded, it is said to be just 9mm (9.5mm including the camera bump), making it 3.1mm thinner than the Z Fold6. The OPPO Find N5 is slightly thinner at 8.93mm and the HONOR Magic V3 is 9.3mm.
The Z Fold7 is said to pack a larger 8.2-inch inner display, and a 6.5-inch outer display, and is said to come in single Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy SoC, use a special aluminum alloy armored side frame instead of titanium in the S25 Ultra, and retain Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection for the outer screen.
This is also expected to see a slight change in the hinge mechanism, get a bigger cooling solution, and Wi-Fi 7 support. It is expected to retain the 4400mAh battery, but get a faster 45W fast wired charging compared to 25W in the Z Fold6. The phone will reportedly get a new S Pen with a thicker tip, making writing and drawing on the folding screen easier and more comfortable.
It is said to a get a 200MP main sensor to match the Galaxy S25 Ultra, while retaining the 12MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera, 10MP outer and a 4MP under screen cameras from the predecessor. We can expect 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB and 12GB + 1TB models for the phone.
We should know more details including detailed specifications of the phone in the coming months since the phone is expected only in July.
