Infinix is integrating DeepSeek-R1 AI into its smartphones

Infinix has announced the integration of the DeepSeek-R1 large language model into its smartphone operating system, XOS 14.5 and above. This upgrade will provide users with access to advanced AI capabilities.

The company stated that the upcoming NOTE series, scheduled for release on March 3rd, will also incorporate DeepSeek-R1. This integration aims to enhance information retrieval and processing on Infinix devices.

The Infinix Note 50 Pro will feature a 6.78″ 144Hz AMOLED display, in-display fingerprint scanner, 5000mAh battery with 90W fast charging 3.0 and 30W MagCharge, confirmed the company.

DeepSeek-R1 is integrated into the Folax assistant, allowing users to interact with the AI through voice or text commands. Users can activate “DeepSeek-R1 Deep Thinking Mode” within the Folax assistant interface to access these capabilities.

Infinix has emphasized its commitment to its “User First” and “Empowering the Global Young Generation” brand mission. The company intends to further develop its AI capabilities in response to the evolving AI landscape.

The brand has also highlighted the transition from the Gen Alpha to the Gen Beta era, anticipating accelerated AI-driven advancements. Infinix has launched the “Infinix AI∞ Beta plan” and will host an AI Spring Launch Event in late March. The event, focused on the Infinix AI∞ Lab, will showcase an AI ecosystem encompassing gaming, daily life, AI smartphones, and AIoT devices.
