Xiaomi just introduced the top-end Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone at an event in China, as it had promised. The phone features a 6.73-inch 2K TCL C9 OLED LTPO screen with peak brightness of 3200 nits, 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, has support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. It also offers, 1920Hz PWM dimming.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and has dual-channel wing-shaped cold pump cooling system Vapor-liquid separation design.
Xiaomi Mi 15 Ultra is equipped with Xiaomi Star Communication, which supports 7km two-way calls without a network. In addition, the entire series of the phone is equipped with Tiantong satellite communication function, the world’s first mobile phone direct satellite data function, and a dual-satellite version (with optional China Mobile Beidou satellite communication).
There is a 50MP Leica main camera with new generation 1-inch ultra-large main camera, 14EV native dynamic range, OIS, 50MP 115° Leica Ultra Wide Angle camera with JN5 image sensor, 5cm super macro, 50MP Leica Telephoto camera with IMX858 image sensor, 3X floating telephoto, telephoto macro and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 200MP 1/1.4-inch HP9 image sensor, 4.3x optical zoom.
The phone gets Android’s first ACES LOG movie-level video, movie camera-level color, UIS Xiaomi self-developed video anti-shake system, horizon-level correction, and 8K video. Xiaomi said that it has Leica ultra-pure optical system with new materials, new technologies, new processes.
The phone has an unibody metal frame, Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0. It has a 6000mAh battery, 90W wired charging, 80W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
Xiaomi Mi 15 Ultra comes with a professional imaging kit accessory, and the new color of Gilded Gray color. This has a replaceable shutter button and a detachable metal finger grip, with a built-in 2000mAh battery, and a total of 8000mAh battery when paired with the phone. This has IP54 ratings for splash resistance.
