Circuit House Technologies unveils ‘Lumio’ brand, to launch Smart TVs in India in March

Circuit House Technologies, a company that secured $4.3 million in funding in June last year, is stepping into the home entertainment space with its new brand, Lumio. The focus is on Smart TVs, aiming to reshape what customers expect from this category, the company stated during its announcement.

India’s Growing Smart TV Market

The Smart TV market in India is valued at $5 billion and is set to expand at a steady 13% CAGR over the next three to four years, according to the company. This growth is fueled by a shift toward premium features like larger screens, QLED, OLED, and MiniLED technologies, which are becoming popular choices.

The company pointed out that 4K TVs now make up nearly 70% of TV sales and are expected to keep growing strong. Despite over 100 brands competing, many buyers still search generically, showing they haven’t found a brand they trust, the company noted. Lumio plans to fill this gap by understanding and meeting Indian customers’ unspoken needs.

Lumio: A Fresh Approach

Lumio is backed by a skilled team with years of experience from firms like Flipkart, Xiaomi, Lenovo, Philips, Tivo, LG, and Samsung. The company emphasized that this team brings expertise in product development, software, quality, sales, and after-sales support.

The company said Lumio’s Smart TVs will offer a fresh approach, designed to bring excitement and joy to users.

Key Partnerships

The company highlighted collaborations with major players to boost Lumio’s offerings.

  • Google TV will provide access to over 400,000 movies and shows across 10,000+ apps.
  • Dixon Technologies, a leading Indian electronics manufacturer, will handle production to ensure top quality.
  • Amazon India will sell Lumio’s Smart TVs, making them widely available online through this partnership.
Availability

Lumio’s full Smart TV lineup will be revealed in March 2025, the company announced.

Speaking about the impact of technology on daily life, Raghu, CEO of Circuit House Technologies, said,

Technology should spark joy, not frustration. In a world where everything moves at speed, consumers shouldn’t be stuck with Smart TVs that slow them down. Lumio is crafting products from the ground up to rewire customer expectations, easing those letdowns for a truly remarkable everyday viewing experience.

Speaking about the partnership, Shalini Govil-Pai, VP & GM of TV Platforms at Google, said,

We are excited to be partnering with Circuit House Technologies to bring customers cutting-edge entertainment solutions to match the expectations of viewers. Television is evolving, and we are looking forward to being a part of the next chapter.
