HMD Amped Buds with 1600mAh reverse wireless charging case, up to 95h total playback announced

Human Mobile Devices (HMD) unveiled the HMD Amped Buds at its MWC 2025 event. These are the first earbuds with a 1600mAh case that can charge your smartphone while playing music.

The ultra-slim, lightweight case weighs just 80g and is only 14mm thick. Each bud is comfortable and features an adjustable hinge design for a perfect fit, noted the company. With an IPX4-rated case and IP54-rated earbuds, they are splash-resistant for durability.

HMD Amped Buds enhance low frequencies for a powerful, balanced sound, said the company. You can customize the sound using the Amped Buds app available on Android and iOS. The earbuds come with Bluetooth v5.4, 10mm drivers, and Snapdragon Sound, providing high-resolution, lossless audio.

The case supports both magnetic and wired charging. It can power any compatible wireless charging device and comes with a dual USB Type-C cable. The case also supports reverse wireless charging.

Each earbud lasts up to 8 hours on a single charge (4 hours with ANC on). With the 1600mAh case, total playback extends to 95 hours. The case can boost an iPhone 16 battery by up to 20% when magnetically attached or 24% when plugged in.

The Amped Buds feature hybrid ANC and ENC for clear calls. Each stem has a triple microphone array to isolate your voice and reduce background noise. Other features include Google Fast Pair for Android users, multipoint connection for pairing with two devices simultaneously, voice assistant, and low latency for gaming and video.
