At MWC 2025, Infinix showcased their latest smartphone innovation technologies, including SolarEnergy-Reserving Technology for smartphone charging and E-Color Shift Technology 2.0, a user customizable phone back skin tech.
Infinix SolarEnergy-Reserving Technology
The latest innovation combines advanced perovskite photovoltaic technology with intelligent AI algorithms and is engineered to capture and store solar energy within a prototype smartphone and phone case. It grants users a constant, reliable power reserve through low-light and harsh lighting environments, powering daily lives indoors and outdoors.
Thanks to AI-driven algorithms that fine-tune power acquisition in real time, the phone case enables efficient energy storage of up to 2W, which then seamlessly transfers power to the device through discreet contact points, ensuring a smooth energy flow.
To optimize power reception in changing indoor and outdoor conditions, the company introduced “Sunflower” Wireless Charging Technology, which dynamically adjusts the transmission path based on lighting and device position, ensuring efficient charging within a 3-meter range.
Features:
- Sustainable power management solution that increases standby time of mobile devices.
- A practical backup for mobile devices in case of power outages or emergencies.
- Facilitates efficient energy storage of up to 2W, with potential for future advancements.
- Intelligent Safeguard with high-temp endurance through SolidCore (90% solid weight offers exceptional heat resistance) battery tech.
- It can be adopted for use cases beyond smartphones.
Infinix E-Color Shift Technology 2.0
Utilising e-ink, Infinix is trying to offer ultra-responsive color-changing back covers. This second-gen tech offers enhanced color depth and improved segmentation, facilitating mainstream adoption of back cover customization.
E-Color Shift enables users to choose from 6 patterns and 6 color templates, creating up to 30 unique combinations in total. Through AI-powered modules, the phone’s back cover intelligently adjusts based on factors like weather, wallpapers, and surroundings, offering a seamless, evolving aesthetic experience.
Infinix believes this will offer users personal expression and emotional connection, bringing mobile devices to life with vivid color animations for charging, incoming calls, missed calls, and messages.
Broader Adoption of these Innovations
Infinix assured that these innovations will be adopted in their future smartphones. The SolarEnergy-Reserving Technology might show up on the NOTE 50 range that will debut later this month.
The all-new NOTE 50 range, set to debut at the end of March 2025, will showcase enhanced charging capabilities, next-generation AI features, and a premium metal design – a true flagship, coming soon, says the company.
Regarding the latest innovations, Tony Zhao, General Manager of Infinix, said,
