Apple introduces new iPad Air 11″ / 13″ with M3 chip; India price starts at Rs. 59900

Apple just introduced its new iPad Air (7th Gen) at its online event, as the successor to the M2 model which was introduced last year. It still has 11-inch and 13-inch models, both with Liquid Retina display, integrated Touch ID sensor in the top button, but this replaces the Apple M2 chip in the predecessor with the Apple M3 chip that has 8-core CPU and 9-core GPU.

This promises up to 35% faster CPU performance for multithreaded workflows and up to 40% faster graphics performance over M1. iPad Air for the first time has support for dynamic caching, along with hardware-accelerated mesh shading and ray tracing. For graphics-intensive rendering workflows, iPad Air with M3 offers up to 4x faster performance than iPad Air with M1, enabling more accurate lighting, reflections, shadows, and extremely realistic gaming experiences, said the company.

New Magic Keyboard for iPad Air

The New Magic Keyboard for iPad Air has a larger built-in trackpad offering greater precision for detail-oriented tasks, and a new 14-key function row allows easy access to features like screen brightness and volume controls.

The new Magic Keyboard attaches magnetically, and the Smart Connector immediately connects power and data without the need for Bluetooth; a machined aluminum hinge also includes a USB-C connector for charging. It is cheaper compared to the older Magic Keyboard.
