LG India has announced the expansion of its free ad-supported television (FAST) service, LG Channels, now offering over 100 channels. This service aims to provide LG Smart TV users with a range of content without requiring subscriptions or payments.
LG Channels delivers content across various genres, including entertainment, music, news, kids, and lifestyle. Users can access this content directly through their LG Smart TVs, eliminating the need for set-top boxes or subscription services.
The platform is designed to cater to a broad audience, featuring channels that span different interests. It also incorporates content in multiple languages, reflecting India’s linguistic diversity. Available languages include Hindi, English, and regional languages such as Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, and Bangla.
The expansion of LG Channels reflects the growing trend of FAST services, which offer free content supported by advertising. LG Electronics India indicates that the service will continue to expand its channel portfolio, aiming to provide viewers with increased content options.
LG Channels is accessible through the dedicated LG Channels application, available on all LG Smart TV devices. The service’s focus is to offer diverse, subscription-free entertainment to LG Smart TV users.
