TCL has announced the launch of its newest Precise Dimming Series for 2025—the QM7K. Following the successful debut of the QM6K at CES in January, the QM7K is TCL’s second line up to feature the innovative Halo Control System.
This system promises a major boost in display performance, making it a standout in TCL’s premium QD-Mini LED collection, available in sizes ranging from 55 inches to a massive 115 inches for an immersive viewing experience.
TCL QM7K 2025
The QM7K leverages next-generation Mini LED technology, delivering higher peak brightness than its predecessor, the QM751G, for enhanced HDR effects. It includes a new anti-reflective CrystGlow HVA Panel and premium Bang & Olufsen audio. Select sizes (65″ to 85″) come with an elegant pedestal stand. The star feature, however, is the Halo Control System.
This system offers three key improvements:
- Enhanced color accuracy
- Improved grayscale precision
- Virtually no blooming or halo effects
It achieves this with a Super High Energy LED Chip for brighter, more efficient light and a Super Condensed Micro Lens for precise light control. The Micro OD Technology reduces the optical distance between the backlight and diffuser plate, preventing light overlap and ensuring sharp contrasts between bright whites and deep blacks.
The QM7K pairs its QD-Mini LED backlight with a high-contrast HVA Panel, boosting dark-state performance for up to five times the native contrast. Enhanced QLED technology, featuring a new Color Optimization Algorithm and vibrant Quantum Crystals, further refines color accuracy.
The TV includes a Zero-Delay Transient Response, eliminating lag between input signals and backlight adjustments to reduce blur and sharpen highlights. A Bi-directional 23-bit Backlight Controller fine-tunes over 65,000 brightness levels per LED for precise grayscale. The Dynamic Light Algorithm optimizes SDR content to near-HDR quality, ensuring consistent visuals regardless of source metadata.

With a sleek, bezel-less design and pedestal stands on 65″ to 85″ models, the QM7K looks as good as it performs. Its display specs include:

Powered by the TCL AiPQ Pro Processor, the QM7K runs Google TV. It features a Bang & Olufsen 2.2 audio system with Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X. Other highlights include:
