OnePlus, Dolby Vision launch #ShootYourShort initiative


OnePlus has introduced #ShootYourShort, a new initiative aimed at encouraging content creators to utilize the videography features of its recently released OnePlus 13. The campaign emphasizes the device’s ability to capture video in Dolby Vision, a technology designed to enhance image quality.

The OnePlus 13, according to the company, allows users to record videos with improved picture quality, utilizing Dolby Vision’s color and contrast enhancements.

To demonstrate these capabilities, OnePlus has partnered with four directors: Maanvi Bedi, Sreemoyi Singh, Chattarpal Ninawane, and Mohammad Ali.

These directors have produced short films using the OnePlus 13’s Dolby Vision capture, focusing on the visual representation of emotions associated with the festival of Holi. The films aim to showcase the device’s ability to capture colors, contrast, and details.

In addition to the commissioned films, OnePlus is launching the #ShootYourShort challenge, inviting users to participate by creating their own short films. Participants are encouraged to submit videos inspired by a chosen color, utilizing the OnePlus 13’s videography features and Dolby Vision. The challenge aims to provide an opportunity for aspiring filmmakers and content creators to demonstrate their skills.

The initiative will culminate in the selection of three winning entries, all of which must be shot on the OnePlus 13.

The #ShootYourShort campaign is presented by OnePlus as a means to broaden access to professional-grade content creation, with the OnePlus 13 and Dolby Vision being positioned as tools for enhancing smartphone cinematography.
