AYANEO Pocket S2, AYANEO Gaming Pad and OneXPlayer ONEXSUGAR Android gaming handhelds with Qualcomm G3 Gen 3 CPU announced

OneXPlayer and AYANEO showcased their latest Android gaming devices at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, today. These new handhelds and gaming pads, powered by the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 chipset, bring fresh designs and strong performance to portable gaming.

OneXPlayer ONEXSUGAR

OneXPlayer introduced the ONEXSUGAR, a unique Android handheld with two screens. It features a 6.01-inch main display and a hidden 3.92-inch back screen that folds out.

This setup allows players to switch between a single-screen handheld mode and a dual-screen style, similar to a Nintendo 3DS. The device uses the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3, with an 8-core Kryo CPU, an Adreno A32 GPU supporting ray tracing, and Wi-Fi 7 via FastConnect 7800.

OneXPlayer says it’s built for smooth Android, cloud, and retro gaming, with detachable controllers for flexible play. Pre-orders begin in May 2025 on Indiegogo, where early sign-ups can save 30%. Full specs and pricing are still to come.

AYANEO Gaming Pad

AYANEO revealed its first Android gaming pad, the AYANEO Gaming Pad, also running on the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3. This device offers a 30% boost in CPU performance and a 28% increase in GPU power compared to the previous generation of AYANEO devices, alongside better energy efficiency.

It sports an 8.3-inch 1440P LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate for crisp, smooth visuals. The Explorer Edition features a transparent glass back and a CNC all-metal frame for a premium look and feel. A large battery supports long gaming sessions, while a turbo cooling system keeps performance steady.

It includes a 5MP front camera, a 50MP main rear camera, and a 13MP ultra-wide camera, plus a six-axis gyroscope and quad speakers for immersive play. Wi-Fi 7 and support for controllers, keyboards, and mice add versatility.

AYANEO Pocket S2

The AYANEO Pocket S2, another Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 device, made its global debut. It features a 6.3-inch 1440P IPS display with sharp colors and brightness.

The handheld delivers the same 30% CPU and 28% GPU performance gains, with ray tracing and Snapdragon Game Super Resolution for detailed graphics. A high-capacity battery, fast charging, and an advanced cooling system with a large heat sink ensure long, stable gaming.
