OPPO F29 Series to feature Hunter Antenna Architecture

OPPO is all set to launch its F29 series, comprising the F29 and F29 Pro smartphones, later this week. A key feature highlighted by the company is the “Hunter Antenna Architecture,” designed to enhance signal strength and reliability.

Hunter Antenna Architecture

The F29 series incorporates a vertically centered, horizontally symmetrical low-frequency antenna layout. This design aims to optimize network performance. The smartphones feature a 200mm fully wrapped antenna layout, covering 84.5% of the phone’s borders. The company states that this design minimizes signal attenuation, potentially maintaining stable connectivity regardless of device orientation.

4×4 MIMO Support

The F29 series supports 4×4 MIMO across the B40, B3, and B39 frequency bands. This implementation seeks to improve download speeds and signal reception. OPPO claims this feature places the devices ahead of competitors within their segment and potentially outperforms higher-priced smartphones.

AI LinkBoost

OPPO has integrated AI LinkBoost technology, which is designed to dynamically adjust network performance. This system includes an elevator perception algorithm that aims to detect signal drops and optimize connectivity in real-time. Additionally, a Game-Exclusive Wi-Fi Antenna is included, which seeks to provide an uninterrupted connection during gameplay. The company asserts that this feature delivers an uplink power boost of 2-4dB, resulting in faster and smoother gameplay.

OPPO states that the Hunter Antenna Architecture provides a 300% boost in signal strength. The company also claims that the devices establish a new benchmark in signal penetration and reliability, designed to ensure seamless connectivity in various environments, including within buildings, elevators, and remote areas. The Game-Exclusive Wi-Fi Antenna is purported to provide 151% faster and smoother gameplay with zero signal drop-offs.

It is important to note that performance claims are based on internal testing and may vary depending on network conditions, environmental factors, and usage patterns. Independent testing and reviews may provide further insights into the effectiveness of these technologies.

Specifications

The OPPO F29 Pro is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset, and the company claims that it has AnTuTu score of 7,40,000+ to deliver flagship-level gaming and multitasking.

The F29 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, with an AnTuTu score of 6,50,000, for a smooth and efficient performance. Both models feature 360° Damage-Proof Armour Body and IP69, IP68, and IP66 certification, making them highly resistant to water, dust, and accidental drops.

We should know more details including the price when it goes official in a couple of days. The OPPO F29 series will be sold on Amazon.in, in addition to Flipkart, OPPO India online store and offline stores.
