UNISOC T8300 6nm 5G SoC with satellite connectivity announced

UNISOC has officially introduced its latest 5G chip, the T8300, designed to deliver a robust multimedia and gaming experience for users worldwide, the company stated in its announcement.

UNISOC T8300 5G: Key Features and Specifications

The T8300 is built on a 6nm process and features an octa-core CPU with two Arm Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.2GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz.

This configuration improves power efficiency by 28% compared to its predecessor. Paired with a Mali G57 dual-core GPU, UFS2.2 storage, and LPDDR4X memory, the T8300 achieves over 510,000 points on AnTuTu V10.

For visuals, the T8300 supports FHD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, alongside HDR Vivid and HDR10+ technologies for bright, detailed images. Its VideoPQ feature adjusts video contrast, enhancing colors and sharpness for a more immersive experience.

Advanced Imaging Capabilities

Powered by the 7th-generation Vivimagic imaging engine, the T8300 takes photography to the next level. With a quad-core ISP processing 1.6 billion pixels per second, the chip supports up to 108MP photos and dual 16MP cameras with Zero Shutter Lag at 25fps.

The hardware-based Multi-Frame Noise Reduction and Temporal Noise Reduction ensure crisp, clear images even in low light. The updated 3A Algorithm 5.0 improves facial brightness, color accuracy, and focus speed, while XTM3.0 boosts dynamic range. The 3A architecture is customizable, offering flexibility for specific use cases.

The multi-frame super night mode excels in low-light conditions, while enhanced portrait segmentation and depth estimation improve portrait photography. The next-gen HDR algorithms further refine dynamic range and contrast for stunning photos.

HiFi-Grade Audio

The T8300 introduces a new audio architecture with Hi-Fi4 technology, delivering pure, lifelike sound. Advanced audio algorithms optimize calls, media playback, recording, and voice wakeup. Features include:

  • Smart noise reduction and Cancellation 3.0 for clear calls.
  • Spatial Audio 2.0 for immersive stereo output.
  • VTS ADC wakeup technology, supporting screen-off wakeup, interruption wakeup, and custom voice recognition in English and Chinese.

This chip also offers customizable DSP software, allowing manufacturers to integrate platform or third-party algorithms for tailored features.

Gaming Performance

The T8300’s UNISOC Miracle Gaming Engine integrates five core systems—scheduling, networking, graphics, memory, and storage—for a seamless gaming experience. It supports high frame rates in games like Honor of Kings, MLBB, and Free Fire, maintaining 90fps at high settings.

Optimizations reduce frame drops by 41%-85% and cut game loading times by 50%. Input lag, including aiming and shooting, drops by up to 80%. Exclusive gaming networks reduce latency by 80% for Honor of Kings, providing a smoother experience.

A collaboration with Tencent Game Voice ensures stable, clear voice chat even in weak networks. Visual enhancements, like SDR2HDR and game super-resolution, reduce GPU load while maintaining high-quality graphics.

Satellite and 5G Connectivity

The T8300 supports the 3GPP R17 standard and integrates 5G NR NTN satellite communication and 5G MBS broadcasting, expanding 5G use cases.

It offers 5G NR 100MHz bandwidth and multi-mode support from 2G to 5G, reducing power consumption by over 20% in typical scenarios. Enhanced coverage and intelligent network switching ensure stable, efficient connectivity, the company said.

Availability

UNISOC noted that its 5G chips, including the T8300, are now shipping globally, powering smartphones in 76 countries and regions. The nubia Neo3 5G gaming phone, featuring the T8300, debuted at MWC 2025, offering a smooth, high-performance experience.

UNISOC introduced a new naming system for its product lineup: T9100, T8300, T8200, and T8100. The 8-series focuses on performance, efficiency, and fast connectivity, while the 9-series targets tech enthusiasts with cutting-edge innovations.

The company aims to make 5G accessible to more users, bringing a smarter lifestyle to a broader audience.
