Headphone Zone has partnered with Oriveti again, building on their OD200 collaboration, to release the Headphone Zone X Oriveti Blackbird. This in-ear monitor (IEM) emphasizes strong bass and targets audiophiles looking for enhanced sound. It features a lightweight acrylic shell designed for comfort, along with six sets of ear tips, a detachable cable, and a durable carrying case.
The Blackbird uses a 10mm composite dynamic driver to produce deep, natural bass and a rich lower midrange. This large driver ensures effective air displacement, creating powerful low frequencies while keeping the sound warm and balanced. Two custom balanced armature drivers handle mids and highs, delivering clear, detailed audio without fatigue, suitable for extended listening. Vocals and instruments maintain sharp, accurate reproduction.
Tuned for energetic bass and clear highs, the Blackbird keeps distortion below 0.08%. Its lows are punchy, mids remain crisp, and treble stays smooth without harshness. This balance ensures bass stands out without dominating the music. The 3D-printed shell reduces unwanted resonance, improves sound isolation, and enhances durability. Its ergonomic design, refined through multiple iterations, offers a secure, comfortable fit even during long use.
Each Blackbird includes a 3.5mm audiophile-grade braided cable with 0.78mm 2-pin connectors, allowing easy cable swaps. The cable minimizes noise and withstands daily wear. The package provides six pairs of ear tips—three bullet-shaped and three bowl-shaped—in different sizes for a tailored fit and sound adjustment. A premium carrying case with space for the IEMs and tips protects everything on the move.
