Nothing has added a new feature for its AI-powered hub, Essential Space. The updates focus on expanding the platform’s functionality and integration with the Nothing ecosystem.
The update introduces Camera Capture to the Essential Key. Users can now utilize the Essential Key functionality within the Nothing Camera application. A short press captures real-world content, enabling direct note addition, while a long press allows for voice input. This integration aims to streamline the process of recording visual information and differentiating between standard photographs and visual reminders within the Nothing Gallery application.
Essential Space, positioned as an AI-driven hub for notes, ideas, and inspirations, is designed to facilitate the capture, processing, and recall of information. The platform is currently accessible to Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. Nothing has indicated that Essential Space will continue to evolve, with planned feature additions in the coming months. These include Smart Collections, Focused Search, and Flip to Record.
Concurrently, the Nothing OS 3.1 update, which is being rolled out alongside the Essential Space enhancements, includes improvements to the camera and Always On Display.
Users of the Phone (3a) series can access the updates through the Settings > System > System Updates menu. The company has stated that the rollout will be implemented in a staggered manner.
