Apple schedules WWDC 2025 for June 9 to 13


Apple has announced that its WWDC 2025 conference from will begin June 9th and go on till June 13th. Similar to the past few years, the event will be streamed live through Apple Developer app and on the Apple Developer website. There will also be an in-person special event at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California.

iOS 19, iPadOS 19 and macOS 19

Apple is said to bring VisionOS-inspired software overhaul across iOS, macOS, and iPadOS with Circular App Icons, Translucent Panels and 3D Depth and Shadows.

Apple is said to be delaying a significant number of Siri features initially planned for iOS 19 after the demo at the WWDC last year, with the features now expected to be moved to iOS 19.4, which is anticipated to launch in spring 2026.

Regarding the supported devices, according to a report, for the iPadOS 19, Apple is said to drop the iPad (7th generation), since the minimum requirements is said to be A12 chip.

Swift Student Challenge 2025

Apple already announced the Swift Student Challenge 2025, an opportunity for student developers to showcase their love of coding by creating their own Swift playground.

On March 27, this year’s Swift Student Challenge applicants will be notified of their status, and winners will be eligible to apply for the special event at Apple Park. In addition, 50 Distinguished Winners, who are recognised for outstanding submissions, will be invited to Cupertino, California, for a three-day experience.

Apple said that it will share additional conference information in advance of WWDC25 through the Apple Developer app and WWDC25 website.
