Infinix Note 50x 5G+ Unboxing and First Impressions

Infinix launched the Note 50x 5G+, the company’s latest 5G smartphone in the Note 50 series in India, earlier today. Here we have the unboxing and the first impressions of the smartphone.

The phone has a 6.67-inch (1600 x 720 pixels) HD+ LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz Touch Sampling Rate. The screen is bright since it has up to 672 nits peak brightness.

There is a 8MP front camera inside the tiny notch supports 2K 30 fps video recording. The earpiece is present on the top edge, which doubles as a secondary speaker. It supports DTS audio. You can see the LED flash on the bezel.

The phone runs Android 15 with XOS 15 on top, and the company has promised 2 Android OS update and 3 years of security updates for the phone. XOS 15 brings now lets you customize the size of the icons, and also shape and the colors. It has several special functions that support multi-tasking (Floating Window, Dynamic Bar), performance (Game Mode), and Security (Theft Alert, Peek Proof).

AI features include AIGC Portrait Mode (In the Camera), AI Wallpaper Generator, AI Note, Folax- AI Voice Assistant and AI Gallery – AI Eraser, AI Cut-out, Search. It also has Writing Assistant, Document Assistant, Call Assistant, Social Assistant and Circle to Search.

Under the hood, the Note 50x 5G+ is powered by the Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset, making it one of the few phones with the chip in the price range. It has support for 10 5G bands, has 6GB / 8GB GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.

Coming to button placements, the power button that integrates the fingerprint scanner is present on the right along with volume rockers. The hybrid Dual SIM slot is present on the left side. The primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill. The secondary microphone and vent for speaker are present on the top.

The phone has dual rear cameras that include a 50MP main camera along with a secondary camera. You can also see the IR blaster on the back, housed in the camera deco. It also has an Active Halo Lighting, in addition to dual LED flash. It supports 4K video recording at 30fps from the rear camera.

The Titanium Grey colour that we have has a metallic finish that looks and feels premium. It also comes in Enchanted Purple colour with a similar look, and the Sea Breeze Green has a vegan leather finish on the back. The phone is just 8.18mm thick and weighs 198.9 grams.

The phone has a 5,500mAh battery with 45W wired charging, and also supports bypass charging as well as 10W reverse wired charging. It promises good battery health for up to 2300 charge cycles (or approximately 6 years).

The Infinix Note 50x 5G+ starts at Rs. 11,499. With the Rs. 1000 bank offer, the effective price is Rs. 10,999. It will be available from April 3rd, 2025 from Flipkart.
