vivo has launched vivo Y39 5G, the company’s latest smartphone in the Y series and the successor to last year’s Y29 5G in India. It packs a 6.68″ HD+ 120Hz display, and is powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, compared to Dimensity 6300 in the predecessor, and has 8GB of RAM with up to 8GB of virtual RAM.
The phone runs Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15 on top, and will get 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security patches. It comes with AI Screen Translation, Live Text, AI Audio Algorithm, Circle to Search, and AI SuperLink, making it the first-ever Y series device to come with AI features.
The phone has a 50MP rear camera along with a 2MP depth sensor and a 8MP front camera. It has Military-Grade durability, Shield Glass protection, SGS certification, comes with IP64 rating for dust and water resistance and also includes SCHOTT Xensation α Cover Glass for added durability. There is a glazed ceramic-like camera ring and circular Dynamic Light.
The Y39 5G has a 6,500 mAh high-density battery with BlueVolt technology, and 44W Flashcharge as well as reverse wired charging. It is backed by a 5-year Long Battery Health guarantee.
