Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi A5, the company’s latest budget 4G phone for the global markets. It packs a 6.88-inch HD+ LCD screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate and a 8MP camera inside the notch. It is powered by Unisoc T7250 Octa-Core processor with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 4GB of virtual RAM.
The Redmi A5 packs a 32MP rear camera along with a secondary camera. The phone features a sleek design with a flat frame and an enhanced camera deco with an all-new metallic-feel surround.
The Redmi A5 comes in Midnight Black and Sandy Gold with a matte, smudge-resistant finish and the Lake Green and Ocean Blue inspired from the nature has veined patterns reminiscent of ripples on a tranquil body of water.
It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and packs a 5200mAh battery with support for 15W. The company promises strong battery health even after 1,000 charging cycles.

Pricing and availability
The Redmi A5 starts at USD 79 (Rs. 6,750 approx.) depending on the markets, and is already on sale in several countries. The phone will launch in India as POCO C71 later this week.
