After teasers, Lumio Vision smart TVs from Circuit House Technologies has been confirmed to launch in India on April 10th. We got a chance to meet the Lumio team in New Delhi recently and got to see the products for the very first time.
The Lumio Vision TVs are reported to incorporate a proprietary processor, designated as a “flagship boss processor,” along with 3GB of DDR4 RAM. The company states that these specifications are intended to facilitate efficient operation and responsiveness.
Performance claims made by Circuit House Technologies include:
- Less load times, improved memory capacity, less app installation times, and improved Wi-Fi throughput, with stated improvements of up to 2x compared to unspecified competitor products.
- The inclusion of a Fast Wi-Fi Chip, which the company claims provides 2.1x the Wi-Fi throughput of competitor products.
- Support for 4K 60fps video playback, with a reported 12x reduction in frame drops.
- The televisions will utilize Google TV as their operating system, with optimizations implemented by the company.
- The company further states that the optimized Google TV interface results in a 2.8x reduction in Netflix load time and 2.5x reduction in scroll time, when compared to other television products.
Here is a video we shot during the event which shows the boot time of the Lumio TV vs a Sony BRAVIA TV, both running on Google TV platform. Netflix App launch time is quicker too.
Circuit House Technologies has indicated that the Lumio Vision product line is designed to provide users with an enhanced smart TV experience. The company has also partnered with Dixon technologies for the manufacturing of the devices, and will have an exclusive online sales partnership with Amazon India.
