Sony today launched the LinkBuds Fit earbuds WF-LS910N in India. These earbuds are small, lightweight at 4.9g, and built for comfort and stability, even during exercise. The company said they feature new Fitting Supporters and Earbud Tips to keep users connected all day.
Sony emphasized that the design draws on ear shape data collected since 1982, ensuring a fit that works for many. The Fitting Supporters have a soft, hollow tail to ease ear pressure and a firm hook to stay in place, noted Sony. The Earbud Tips, made of soft silicone, sit shallow in the ear canal for less pressure and better tracking.
The earbuds offer Noise Cancelling and an Ambient Sound Mode that adjusts to surroundings. Sony added that multiple microphones and the Integrated Processor V2 optimize noise cancellation in real time, while Adaptive Sound Control uses AI to tweak settings based on location and habits. They connect via Bluetooth v5.3 for stable, low-latency performance.
Sony highlighted the 8.4mm Dynamic Driver X for rich vocals and clear sound, supporting High-Resolution Audio Wireless via LDAC, which sends three times more data than standard Bluetooth. The DSEE Extreme upscales compressed music, and Precise Voice Pickup Technology ensures clear calls in noise, using AI trained on over 500 million voice samples.
The redesigned case comes in Black, White, and Green with unique marbled patterns and is easy to open, said the company. The earbuds and case use recycled plastic, supporting Sony’s zero-footprint goal by 2050, with no plastic in the packaging.
For gaming, the LinkBuds Fit use sensors and head-tracking tech for spatial sound in titles like “Ingress” from Niantic, aligning audio with on-screen action. Sony noted compatibility with 360 Reality Audio and Dolby Atmos via the Sound Connect app, which also personalizes sound by analyzing ear shape.
Controls include Quick Access taps, Auto Play based on routines, and Wide Area Tap for hands-free operation near the ears, with support for voice assistants like Google and Alexa. In terms of battery life, the earbuds offer 5.5 hours of playback, with the case providing a total of 21 hours, plus an IPX4 rating for water resistance.
