OnePlus introduced the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro smartphones last year, powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. The company is gearing up to introduce a new Ace5 series phone, which will be the first to use the Dimensity 9400E processor targeting the mid-range segment, according to leaker Digital Chat Station.
Considering the main frequency and cache, its performance will be better than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, he added. This will get the same Fengchi gaming core as the Ace5, offering good gaming performance. There are also rumours that it will be close to the performance of the Snapdragon 8s Gen4.
Based on earlier rumours, the phone will get a 6.77-inch LTPS screen, 50MP + 2MP dual rear cameras, 16MP front camera, plastic middle frame, optical fingerprint scanner and a large battery. The phone is said to be priced under 1999 yuan (USD 274 / Rs. 23,409 approx.).
There are reports that OnePlus will change its strategy this year and is expected to launch two large straight-screen mobile phones with Dimensity processors, both with a new screen, new design and a large battery in the OnePlus Ace series. There are also reports of new OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition.
OnePlus China President Li Jie in an interview during the media interview session of the OnePlus 13T launch conference said that OnePlus will release two large-screen flagship phones targeted at gaming in May 2025.
