Nothing just launched the CMF Phone 2 Pro, the company’s second CMF-branded smartphone. Here we have the smartphone for unboxing.

This time, the company has offered the charger and the case in the box, which is a good move.
The Phone 2 Pro sports a 6.77-inch FHD+ flat AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The display is bright since it has up to 1300 nits outdoor brightness in HBM, and 3000 nits peak brightness, and the sunlight legibility is good as well. There is panda glass protection. There is 2160Hz PWM Dimming.
It has a tiny punch-hole that houses the 16-megapixel autofocus camera. The earpiece is present on the top edge, but it doesn’t double up as a secondary speaker. The phone has an in-display optical fingerprint scanner. The bottom bezels are minimal compared to the CMF Phone 1, even the sides and the top bezels have reduced.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro processor, compared to Dimensity 7300 in the predecessor. This promises 10% faster CPU and 5% faster CPU. It has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and supports 5G SA/NSA with several bands. It runs Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.0 on top, and the company has promised 3 Android updates and 6 years of security updates compared to 2 Android updates and 3 years of security updates in the Phone 1.
The phone has a power button and the essential key on the right side. The volume rockers are on the left. The hybrid dual SIM slot, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the speaker grill are present on the bottom. The secondary microphone is present on the top.
The phone have moved from dual cameras to a reliable triple camera setup that includes a 50MP main camera with a bigger 1/1.57″ sensor, 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 2x telephoto camera with 6 stacked lenses offering up to 20x digital zoom. Check out some camera samples.
It can record videos at 4k resolution at up to 30 fps from and rear camera and the front camera supports 1080p 30 fps recording. It only has EIS and doesn’t have OIS.
The phone still has a plastic back. The Light Green color that we have has a glass-like back that mimics a frosted glass texture and is bordered with a metallic frame, says the company. Even the Black has a similar finish. The Orange has a metallic sheen. The phone has become slimmer at 7.8mm and also weighs less at 185g compared to the Phone 1.
This time, you can’t remove the back cover, but the universal cover attaches on top, so that you can add fish eye and macro lenses, and Wallet and stand. There is also the Lanyard that was first launched with the Phone 1.
The phone still retains a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. The battery capacity stays above 90% even after 1200 charging cycles, says the company.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro starts at Rs. 18,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, and will be available from online and offline retailers from May 5th. With Rs. 1000 bank offer, the effective starting price is Rs. 17,999.
