motorola edge 2025 with 6.7″ 1.5K 120Hz OLED display, Dimensity 7400, 50MP front camera, IP69 ratings announced


motorola has introduced the edge 2025, the company’s latest smartphone in the edge series, in the US as the successor to last year’s edge model. The phone packs a 6.7-inch 1.5K curved pOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, and is the first smartphone to be powered Mediatek Dimensity 7400 SoC with 8GB of RAM.

It packs a 50MP main camera with Sony Lytia LYT-700C sensor, OIS, 50MP ultrawide camera with macro option, 10MP 3x telephoto camera and a 50MP front camera with Quad Pixel technology. The phone runs Android 15.

The phone meets military standards for durability, passing tests of MIL-810H Military Grade Certified Protection.  The phone has IP68 + IP69 ratings for dust and water protection designed to withstand submersion in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for 30 minutes and has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the front. The edge 2025 has a 5200mAh battery with 68W TurboPower fast charging and 15W wireless charging.

There is a new AI Key on the side that offers several features such as

  • Next Move: Recognizes what’s on a user’s screen, such as a recipe or an itinerary, and offers helpful next steps in real time.
  • Playlist Studio: Curates a custom playlist based on the contents of one’s screen, and Image Studio,6 which combines generative AI creation and editing capabilities to turn ideas into images, avatars, stickers, and wallpapers.
  • Catch Me Up: Saves users time by summarizing missed notifications that come through while the device is not being used.
  • Pay Attention: Records, transcribes, and summarizes conversations or meetings so that users can quickly find specific details without having to take notes or listen at all.
  • Remember This: Memorizes information stemming from photos or notes when requested and later recalls key details, context, and facts when prompted.

Pricing and availability

The motorola edge 2025 comes in Pantone-curated color – PANTONE Deep Forest colour and is priced at an MSRP of USD 549.99 (Rs. 46,995 approx.).

It will be available universally unlocked at Best Buy, Amazon.com, and motorola.com starting June 5th in the US. The device will also be available at T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile, Total Wireless, Visible, Spectrum, and Xfinity Mobile in the coming months.

In Canada, the new motorola edge – 2025 will be available at motorola.ca starting June 5 with subsequent availability at select carriers and national retailers.
