At an event in San Francisco , Apple just announced the next version of its revolutionary tablet. Powering it is the new A5x chip which comes with quad core graphics and will be used to push graphics to the all new 2048 x 1536 “Retina Display”.
The back camera is now a 5MP unit with BSI tech which should allow it to take quite decent images should you decide to take some with a giant tablet. The New iPad is also the first to be equipped with LTE radios which should allow for some extremely high speeds on supported carriers like AT&T , Verizon. Bluetooth has also been upgraded to the 4.0 spec. Battery life remains same and you can expect upto 9 hours with 4G switched on , 10 hours without.
The New iPad is priced at $499 for the 16GB WiFi model. $599 for the 32GB model and $699 for the 64GB model. iPad Wi-Fi + 4G for either AT&T or Verizon will be available for a suggested retail price of $629 for the 16GB model, $729 for the 32GB model and $829 for the 64GB model. Do note that these are still US prices and there is no word on availability for India. The New iPad is available for pre order today and will ship out on March 16th to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, UK and USA.
