Sony Xperia GX and Xperia SX LTE smartphones announced in Japan


Sony Mobile has announced 2 new LTE-enabled smartphones, Xperia GX and Xperia SX for the Japanese markets. They unveiled Xperia NX and arco HD for Japan earlier this year. The Xperia GX comes with 4.6-inch Reality display and the Xperia SX has a 3.7-inch Reality display. Both these devices are powered by 1.5GHz dual-core processor and run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

The Xperia GX has 13MP camera with Sony Exmor R sensor, LED flash, HD video recording, 16GB internal memory and would be available in white and black colors.

The Xperia SX is said to be the world’s lightest LTE smartphone at just 95g. It comes with Japanese specific features such as infrared port data exchange, mobile wallet and mobile TV. It has 8MP camera with Sony Exmor R sensor, LED flash, HD video recording, 8GB internal memory and would be available in white and black colors.

These LTE-enabled phones would offer download speeds of up to 75 Mbps. Other features include, Wi-Fi with DLNA, HDMI and xLOUD. These phones are expected to be available in Japan after Summer 2012.
