Nokia has finally launched the 808 PureView, their flagship camera phone with 41MP sensor. Nokia announced the Nokia 808 PureView at MWC 2012 and said it would launch in May 2012, but it was delayed. They announced last week that it would launch mid-June and sent us an invite for today’s launch event. It even got a price tag on their Nokia store yesterday. It has 4-inch (640 x 360 pixels) AMOLED CBD display with Gorilla Glass protection, 1.3 GHz processor and runs on Nokia Belle FP1 OS.
The Nokia 808 PureView is the first smartphone to feature Nokia’s award-winning PureView technology with exclusive Carl Zeiss optics and amazing imaging algorithms. It features a large, high-resolution 41 megapixel sensor with high-performance Carl Zeiss optics and new pixel oversampling technology and powerful Xenon flash.
It has Nokia Rich Recording for CD-like audio quality, full HD 1080p video recording and playback. It also features exclusive Dolby Headphone technology and Dolby Digital Plus for 5.1 channel surround sound playback. Dolby Headphone, available on the PureView 808, transforms content into a personal surround sound experience over headphones to create a natural, engaging, and authentic listening experience.
Other features include, 512MB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 32GB expandable memory with micro SD. The connectivity featueres include, 3G HSPDA – 14.4Mbps HSUPA – 5.76 Mbps, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, DLNA, NFC, HDMI Micro, GSP / aGPS. It comes with 1400 mAh battery.
The Nokia 808 PureView is priced at an MRP of Rs. 33,899. It will be available across Nokia retail outlets starting tomorrow in White and Black variants now, Red color would be available soon.
