Alphabetics, IT Business Solution company has launched TabGuru, offline education tablet PC that has pre-loaded educational content created by experienced team at Alphabetics. It has content in both animation and Video formats for both english and regional schools across SSC, ICSE and CBSC Boards. It comes in both 7-inch (800×480 pixels) and 10-inch (1024×600) variants with capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0.3 ICS. It has 0.3 MP front-facing camera.
Both these tablets are powered by 1.5GHz processor and has 512MB DDR3 RAM, 4GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 32 GB, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, External USB port for 3G, WCDMA / TD-SCDMA / CDMA2000, 3.5mm audio jack.
These tablets also have Multi-format audio (MP3 / ACC / ACC+ / WAV) and Video (MP4 / AVI / RMVB / XviD / H.263 / H.264 / 1080p HD) Player, eBook (EPUB,PDF,FB2,PDB,CHM,HTML,TXT,UMD,WORD,EXCELL) Reader, Flash player, 3D games and more.
The Alpha Edu-I 7-inch tablet is 6.5mm thick, weighs 345g and has 3000mAh battery that offers 4-5h working time and the Alpha Edu-II 10-inch tablet is 13.5mm thick, weighs 650g and has 6000mAh battery that offers 5-6h working time.
The TabGuru Alpha Edu-I and Alpha Edu-II are priced at Rs. 9999 and Rs. 14999, respectively. These tablets would be available from local vendors starting from August 2012.
