PharmaSecure, an US based company pioneered drug authentication solutions in India offers SMS / Mobile App-based solution for drug authentication. The problem of drug counterfeiting is increasing in India, and this new solution would solve this problem easily to find the counterfeit drugs from over 250 million coded drug packages to fight the problem of counterfeit drugs.
PharmaSecure has launched an Android app. This app would let the customers just scan the 9 digit alphanumeric code is printed on a medicine pack and receive an authentication message.
You can also send the 9 digit alphanumeric code to the SMS number – 9901099010 to receive an authentication message from the pharmaceutical manufacturer, that confirms the authenticity of the drug within 10 seconds.
You can also verify the medicines online through verifymymedicine.com. The company has recently tied up with international agency – Interpol along with Google to introduce similar solution in other markets.
