When Samsung announced its phablet, the Galaxy Note, it was not expected to become the hugely successful product it is today. Cumulative sales for the crossover between a phone and a tablet have crossed 10 million units. Last month, the Korean manufacturer announced its successor called the Galaxy Note II.
With improved specifications and a slight increase in screen size, Samsung expects its super sized device to be yet another success. Samsung mobile head JK Shin said that they expect sales of the new device to cross 20 million units. Speaking to Yonhap News Agency, Shin said ” ”Sales may grow more than two-fold (compared with the previous model).” The Android Jellybean running device is expected to be launched in October. Its specifications include a Quad Core Exynos 4412 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The screen size is 5.5inches with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels.
