China Mobile, the world’s largest telecom carrier with over 660 million subscribers, has agreed to launch the Nokia Lumia 920 on its network. Nokia revealed that its flagship Windows Phone 8 smartphone will be available on the Chinese operator. The phone will support the TD-SCDMA infrastructure used in China.
The chipset expected to be used is the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 which can run on both TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE. The Lumia 920 brings a number of innovations like a PureView 8MP camera with floating lens technology for stabilization. With Windows Phone 8 having reached RTM, we should expect more information around availability and pricing of phones soon. The Nokia Lumia 920 is rumored to be available starting November in a variety of colors including red, yellow, white, black and grey.
