Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update is now available for Lava XOLO X900. The first Intel Medfield-powered phone was launched in August for Rs. 22,000, but it got a price cut to Rs.17500 last week. We reviewed the device in May when it was running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbead), now the ICS update brings several features including a new UI, faster browser, new lockscreen with face unlock, new camera UI, better compatibility for apps and games and more.
The Android 4.0.4 is now available for the Lava XOLO X900 OTA (Over the Air) which is about 222 MB. You can also manually upgrade through USB. You can read the complete instructions and download the files on XOLO site.
