PadPivot NST Review

We recently got in the Pad Pivot for review and decided to give it a spin. What’s a Pad Pivot ? You might want to call it yet another stand for the Apple iPad but you’d be surprised to know how nifty this little device actually is.

The Pad Pivot started off as a Kickstarter project but became popular enough to hit retail. Most iPad stands tend to be too bulky and impractical to carry with you on the road but the Pad Pivot does the job admirably well. The petite accessory is tiny enough to be carried with you when heading out and can of course also be used on the desk at home. Read on to find out more about the Pad Pivot.

The USP of the PadPivot is its modular design allowing it to be folded and carried around anywhere. The Pad sits on your thigh and the ball socket mounted upper half lets you shift around the tablet in whatever direction you might want.

The grippy plate on the upper half of the PadPivot sticks to almost any tablet and provides a very solid grip. We tested it out with a few plastic backed Android tablets and the rubberized BlackBerry Playbook and the lock between the back of the tablet and the PadPivot was incredibly strong. This is because the PadPivot uses NanoSuction technology instead of an adhesive. The surface of the grip plate is essentially comprised of millions of microscopic suction cups.

Is the PadPivot any good ?
The PadPivot is worthy investment if you are looking for a small portable iPad stand. It provides a solid grip and can be kept both on top of a desk and your leg while travelling while portable enough to slip into your pocket when you’re done with it.

The PadPivot can be bought for $58.99 over at MobileFun which might sound a bit expensive but keep in mind the convenience offered by the portability of the stand and its versatility and it doesn’t sound much. Head on over to the link to buy one of your own.
