Recently we got a chance to play with the Samsung ATIV S running Windows Phone 8. While HTC and Nokia have already brought their WP8 devices to market, the ATIV S is Samsung’s top end WP8 handset and is yet anywhere. Like competing WP8 devices, the ATIV S too is powered by a 1.5Ghz Snapdragon S4 processor paired with 1GB of RAM.
The ATIV S ships with 16 and 32GB of storage and it comes with a microSD card slot to further expand storage. The plastic handset has a brushed metal finish on the back. Check out the video below to see the ATIV S in action.

The camera is a 8MP unit and is capable of recording 1080p video. The front camera is a 1.9MP unit. The highlight of the handset is perhaps the 4.7″ 720p Super AMOLED display which is the same as the panel used on the Galaxy S3. The ATIV S running Windows Phone 8 will be available later this year.
