Huawei to unveil Ascend D2 with 5-inch 1080p display and Ascend W1 at CES 2013

Richard Yu, Senior Vice President of Huwaei has confirmed that the company would unveil the Ascend D2 Android Smartphone with a 5-inch 1080p (1920 × 1080 pixels) display and Ascend W1 Windows Phone 8 device at CES 2013. The Ascend D2 would be the successor of the Ascend D1 that was announced at MWC 2012. The Ascend W1 would be the company’s first Windows Phone 8 device. It was expected back in September, but it was delayed.

According to the rumored specs, the Ascend D2 would come with a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor (probably the Huawei’s own quad-core chip), Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), 13MP camera with LED flash, 1.3 MP front-facing camera and a 3000 mAh battery.

According to  leaked specs, the Huawei Ascend W1 Windows Phone 8 device is expected to come with a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display, dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, 5 megapixel camera, and a 2,000 mAh battery.

ZTE would also unveil the Grands S with 1080p display, and Sony is also expected to announce Yuga, their high-end smartphone at CES 2013. We will definitely bring you more details about these from the launch event next month.
