The oft leaked next generation Sony devices have once again been seen in a leaked press shot. The glamour shot shows the highly anticipated flagship level device from Sony called the Xperia Z. Also known as the Yuga, the smartphone will be powered by Android Jellybean.
The phone stands in the same class as the HTC Droid DNA amongst others. Rumored specifications for the handset include a full HD, five inch display. A Snapdragon Pro quad core processor is expected to power the show here and will be coupled with 2GB of RAM to provide a solid high end hardware solution. A 13MP camera will be featured over at the back of the handset. As can be seen from the leaked shot, Sony has decided to continue the same design language as seen on previous devices like the Xperia T & Xperia SL though it does seem to have dropped the transparent bar often seen on Sony devices. The Xperia Z is rumored to go on sale as soon as January 15th to make the time to market after the reveal at CES exceptionally small. Sony will most likely be showing off the device at its CES press conference on the 7th and we’ll be reporting live from there.
