Samsung has finally started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update in India. The Samsung Galaxy S3 was launched in India in May last year running Android 4.0 ICS, and it got the Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) update in November last year. Samsung detailed premium suite features in the Android 4.1.2 update for the Galaxy S3 last month.
This update also brings new features including Multi-window, Reader Mode, Facebook Lock Ticker, Page Buddy, Paper Artist, Camera features such as Low Light Shot and Best Face, Accessibility features such as Easy Mode, Sound Balance, Setup Wizard, Camera Easy Snap and more.
Samsung announced the list of devices that would get the Android Jelly Bean update back in back in September 2012. Samsung started rolling out Android 4.1.2 update for the Galaxy S2 couple of days back, starting from Spain, so it’ll be the next phone to get the Jelly Bean update in India.
The Android 4.1.2 OTA (Over the Air) update for the Galaxy S3 is about 152 MB. It is also available via Kies. You can check for the update manually from the Settings, About, Software update.
